About the Club
Portsmouth Country Club is a member owned country club founded in 1901. The club is semi-private which means non-members are invited to use the golf course, the pro shop, restaurant and banquet facilities. It is considered a championship golf course designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones. It is located on and bordered by the breathtaking beauty of Great Bay. It is considered one of the top conditioned golf courses in the northeast and is consistently ranked as one of the best in New England. The course is meticulously maintained by the well renowned Greg Dubois who is the superintendent at Portsmouth Country Club. The club is open for non- member play seven days a week. Non-members may call three days in advance to reserve a tee time.
Portsmouth Country Club offers a distinctive restaurant and banquet facility which overlook the magnificent golf course and the beautiful Great Bay. The restaurant is open year round with seasonal hours during the winter months. We offer daily specials as well as seasonal favorites. Our restaurant and banquet facilities are open to the public at all times.
Portsmouth Country Club has a fully stocked pro shop and carries many of the latest men and women’s clothing lines. The pro shop offers a full collection of golf apparel and equipment for both men and women. For the non-golfer there is a unique collection of ladies and men’s fashion lines. Feel free to visit and meet our friendly and helpful staff. There is a full driving range that is also open to the non-member.
